"Buy Your Way"
If you're denied, raise your voice and your eyes. You decide. What's your truth? Believing lies? Noise pollution, the sound of panting breath behind me. The Constitution, a lot more free when you've got money.
Buy your way.
Pay them off and shut them up.
While I'm alive you won't discriminate (against) me, change me.
Take me or come and make me. It's all the same to them. As long as I'm paying the rent. As long as I'm feeding my kid then ya'll should leave me alone. I've seen the masses without homes and people laughing in their face. I've heard the masses with their groans, casting shadows in my face.
Buy your way.
Pay them off and shut them up.
There's never enough of the summer that comes. My collar is blue and my hands are numb. People with money they think that I'm dumb. They eat it up and they leave us the crumbs. Nothing presented that I couldn't learn. You might be given, I'm proud that I earn. The food to eat and wood to burn. Some fine day soon the tide will turn.
Buy your way.
Pay them off and shut them up.
